维奇猪笼草（Nepenthes veitchii）原产于婆罗洲。多存在于婆罗洲北西部，也可在加里曼丹地区（Kalimantan）发现。其种加词“veitchii”来源于维奇苗圃的主人，詹姆斯·维奇。低地地区的树林中维奇猪笼草常附生，其叶柄环抱树杆向上生长。而高地地区泥炭沼泽的维奇猪笼草则多陆生。巴里奥地区的维奇猪笼草似乎严格陆生，未在该地区观察到其附生植株。此外，低地地区和高地地区的维奇猪笼草在形态上也有区别，低地变型比高地变型的唇窄，笼子较为瘦长，高地维奇笼子呈矮胖型。
简介
弗雷德里克·威廉·伯比奇（Frederick William Burbidge）在他的专著（the Gardener's Chronicle）中对维奇猪笼草进行了以下描述。维奇猪笼草生长在20到100英尺高的树干上，而从未发现它生长在地上。这种生活习性在猪笼草是独一无二的。他的叶子紧紧的扣住树干，就像一个人用手臂包住树干一样。
奥多阿多·贝卡利（Odoardo Beccari）1865年在Mount Santubong的山顶发现了维奇猪笼草。他在他的笔记中写下了内容。
这是一种相当美丽且稀有的猪笼草。我得到了一些有10英寸长的捕虫笼标本。这种猪笼草最为引人注目的是它亮黄色的唇。这明亮的黄色唇是引诱昆虫落入笼子的绝佳陷阱。
而产自沙捞越巴里奥地区的维奇猪笼草则贴地陆生，并未发现其“抱树的特性”。与“”抱树维奇”相比，巴里奥地区的维奇猪笼草笼形更加矮胖，在红色花唇的个体上体现更为艳丽。
